Apple’s new XDR Display

On 03/06/2019 Apple has unveiled its new Mac Pro along with its new Pro Display with XDR (eXtreme Dynamic Range).


This is a 32 inch LCD IPS display which has the resolution of  6016x3384 at 60Hz with  the peak brightness of 1600 nits and contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 also has 576 backlit zones. It has two variants one with standard glass and other with Nano-texture glass.

The standard glass variant costs $4999 and The Nano-texture glass variant costs $5999.The stand and vesa mount are sold separately.

The Stand for the Display alone costs more than some of the gaming PC's and Laptop's.Apple claims the display to be the "the world’s best pro display". It has native 10-bit color panel with DCI-P3 wide-color support.

It also has support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision

It has 4 thunderbolt ports for I/O, one of the ports has 96w output for charging the host machine.The Display weighs around 26 pounds.
